"Half Museum, Half Furniture, All Friendly"

Want a glimpse of Dickson's history?   Check out the amazing photos on display at Ragan's Friendly Neighbor Store.  This place is a gold mine of information!  Sitting on the corner of College Street and Main Street, Ragan's has been a part of Downtown Dickson for many years!  Obviously, they are a place of business as well!  Furniture, appliances, bedding, appliance parts, etc.   They proclaim "Half Museum, Half Furniture, All Friendly"!   They are locally owned and operated by the same family for almost 50 years. They welcome anyone who wants to shop or just stop in to look at all the history!  You can learn more about this place at www.shopragans.com

Awesome day on Main!

I spent an awesome day on Main Street shopping for Christmas gifts this year!  I'll admit...I didn't buy EVERYTHING on my Christmas lists on Main...but I did buy WAY more than I ever have!  My first find was this funny little toy that someone in my family had asked for...

These are Ugly Doll's....  I had no idea how popular these were!  They sell them at Studio 123 and have quite an assortment!  Who knew!

Then we stopped in at Reading Rock Books!  This place has such a relaxing atmosphere!  I want to read everything I see...and I'm not a big reader!  They didn't happen to have the books we needed in stock that day, but immediately ordered them...and they arrived quickly!
Next, Half Moon Bay!  There is so much to see in this shop!  I bought some Melissa & Doug toys, a baby sleeper and a cute bib!  I finished off by purchasing this awesome candle!  Grandmother's Kitchen by Beanpod.

A first...

In the many years I have shopped in and around Dickson, I have never taken the time to browse &/or shop ALL of the businesses on Main Street...until last week.  Time didn't allow me to finish what I had started, so I'll have to go back. But I was determined that I was going to go in and see what everyone had to offer!  Hopefully, soon I will take the time to blog about the places I visited and what I like most about each of them.  I think we would all be surprised at some of the things we can buy in Downtown Dickson!  I challenge you to visit each of these merchants...it just might save you a needless trip to Nashville!
